RepStrap 3D Printer

This is my third 3d printer, following a Prusa simplified Mendel and a Prism Mendel each cannibalising the expensive parts of the previous. I wanted to make it as simple and easy to adjust as possible, since tramming the previous printers was very time consuming. It's also intended to be portable, as in doesn't need recalibration after moving. This is achieved by having the frame supported on three feet so that it is always supported in the same way regardless of the surface it is on.

The design also makes use of my access to machine tools. The parts are machined and most parts are bolted directly to the aluminium tubes this removes the need for 3D printed parts and reduces the part count quite a lot.

The print quality archived with this printer is substantially better than what either of the previous printers could provide. This should be improved further by replacing the 6mm belts seen with 10mm belts and the addition of a part fan.
